Richard B. Cheney is a distinguished American businessman, politician, and public servant. Cheney has become a regular face on the Washington political scene has worked under a variety of U.S. presidents George W. Bush was his fourth elected official. When he accepted the Republican vice-presidential nod Cheney has stated that he's looking forward to working with an president who can work to get things done by reaching across the partisan aisle and collaborating with his political foes with good will and a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. The family moved to Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. His dad, who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district of Casper.
